Dr. Michael Demask has been involved in mental health and substance abuse services for the last 27 years. He is the former Dean and Professor of the Hazelden Graduate School of Addiction Studies and last year retired as the Executive Director for Hazelden Florida. In 2009, when a treatment center in Amsterdam, named a division after him--The Dr. Michael Demask Outpatient Center for Women.  Dr. Damask has delivered services in South Africa, the UK. and around the world.  In semi-retirement, the Doctor sees a limited number of patients while providing community education presentations at hospitals, where needed.

Jason Crow is half Native American and has spent much of his time following and practicing the healing and intuition traditions he learned as a child from his Native culture.  Jason’s also a certified personal trainer and sports nutritionist—working in the health and fitness field for close to 20 years.  In LA, he trains and coaches athletes and celebrities. Jason teaches healthy living healthy through organic diets and exercising several times a week.  Before LA, Jason’s played semi-pro football—a result of a series of full ride scholarships.

Will be speaking to guest Laura Gottesdiener. She is the author of A Dream Foreclosed: Black America and the Fight for a Place to Call Home. She just wrote the piece "When Predatory Equity Hit the Big Apple: How Private Equity Came to New York’s Rental Market -- and What That Tells Us About the Future", in which she writes, "Over the last few years, giant private equity firms have bet big on the housing market, buying up more than 200,000 cheap homes across the country. Their plan is to rent the houses back to families -- sometimes the very same people who were displaced during the foreclosure crisis -- while waiting for the home values to rise. But it wouldn’t be Wall Street not to have a short-term trick up its sleeve, so the private equity firms are partnering with big banks to bundle the mortgages on these rental homes into a new financial product known as 'rental-backed securities.'
